Acupuncture is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In TCM, very thin needles are inserted into energy channels or meridians of energy, which run along various areas of the body: face, ears, neck, hands, trunk and legs. The energy in these channels is called Qi (pronounced chee). The placement of the needles into specific points along the channels helps the movement of energy in the body and is done according to the individuals specific health needs. Acupuncture is used to treat a variety of physical and functional diseases and conditions, including, but not limited to:

A Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) tongue and pulse diagnosis is performed, and needling protocol is determined for each individual patient. Additional nutrition recommendations may be given to by your practitioner to assist you in your healing process.
